

MentorSET is a successful mentoring scheme started in 2002 to help women working in SET (Science, Engineering and Technology). We provide independent mentors who understand the challenges faced and who can provide support and advice.
We have now created approximately 280 mentoring pairs spread across the UK and encompassing many different careers. Feedback shows that our participants are benefiting enormously and that MentorSET is playing a useful part in helping women in SET in the UK.
Mentees must be a member of (or willing to join) one of the above groups but there is no restictions for mentors. WES and a number of the other groups are easy and cheap to join. We are always looking for women who are interested in becoming mentees and family-friendly people who are willing to be mentors. MentorSET aims to increase the number of women who can maintain their SET careers, and realise their full potential.

The scheme is now sponsored by The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology who offer a range of services for UK women working in these areas.
