Peer2peer

Peer Group Mentoring involves a group of people with common goals and issues who come together to work as a supportive group to share ideas and advice.

The aim of the MentorSET Peer2peer group is to provide a forum for culturally diverse women in SET to share their experiences, discuss issues and work towards solutions for better success and confidence in their work-place, their job searches and their personal challenges.

The e-mentoring forum enables members to share issues and solutions while workshops provide personal development opportunities.

Membership of the group is open to all women in SET who are interested in cultural issues in the UK (**).

Strength Deployment Inventory Workshop, 4th July 2006

.

Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)* is a technique for exploring personal motivations and explaining conflict situations.

It was a very positive day and we learned about different personality characteristics.

"Very supportive and confidence building. A very positive experience. I have been able to put my previous experiences into perspective and shed some light on what I can do to progress my career."

"It gave me a chance to meet different people from different backgrounds. It was really a fantastic networking event."

"Worthwhile experience to see different type of behaviour and conflict resolution strategies that can be adopted to resolve conflict at work and home."

* SDI and Strength Deployment Inventory are protected by worldwide copyright and are registered to Personal Strengths Publishing Inc.
